ISO 9001 CERTIFIED VESSEL FABRICATION, PIPE FABRICATION

AND MODULAR PLANT FABRICATION AND ASSEMBLY FACILITIES

Bay Ltd. has over 180,000 sq. ft. of covered shop space for vessel fabrication, pipe fabrication, and modular fabrication assembly.  This substantial shop space is divided into four covered fabrication buildings:

Pipe Fabrication Shop                   9,800 sq. ft.

Assembly Building                       30,800 sq. ft.

Plate Fabrication & Vessel Shop    60,000 sq. ft.

Plate Fabrication & Vessel Shop    80,000 sq. ft.

The Pipe Fabrication Shop has equipment to effectively and efficiently handle major pipe spooling projects.  Bay has a 48 inch Vernon Pipe Profiler and a full range of welding including MIG/TIG welding capability, twenty‑five 200/300 amp welding machines, plus two submerged arc machines.  Two 5 ton overhead cranes, four 1 ton jib cranes, and a 11/2 ton 360 degree rotation pedestal crane, move the pipe to one of the five fabrication tables, the Pantograph, and to the welding stations.  All gases and compressed air are piped inside the shop from outside manifolds.

The Pipe Fabrication Shop also contains three offices and one drafting room.  Ample space  provides the shop foremen and client representatives opportunity to oversee the work plus meet in private to discuss schedules and strategies.  On many of Bay's skid projects, the Pipe Fabrication Shop supports the skid assembly occurring in the adjacent Assembly Building.

The Assembly Building is utilized for assembly of skid packages plus fabricating component parts of larger modules being assembled at Bay's dock.  The Assembly Building is 180 ft.  x 170 ft.  with maximum inside height of 49 ft.  The doors at each end of the building are 42 ft. wide and 48 ft. high.  Bay utilizes hydraulic and track cranes up to 150 tons to assist with equipment and pipe erection and setting.  All gases and compressed air are piped inside the Equipment Assembly Building from outside manifolds.

Office space for Bay's foremen and client representatives is provided for proper planning/scheduling of work activities.

The remaining two covered fabrication buildings comprise our Heavy Fabrication Shops.  These buildings have over 140,000 square feet of area dedicated to ASME code vessel and modular fabrication.  The original building has all the welding, rolling, and cutting equipment necessary for major fabrication projects.  Each bay (480 ft. x 35 ft. and 480 ft. x 48 ft. x 27 ft.) has overhead crane capacity to 25 tons.  The largest shop door is 29 ft. x 35 ft.  The new facility has an overall area of 80,000 square feet.  There are two bays with equal dimensions of 500 ft. x 75 ft.  The hook height has been extended to 40 ft. to accommodate the larger vessels being fabricated today.  There are two overhead cranes per bay with capacities of 35 tons and 5 tons.  Outside the covered buildings, there is a slabbed area 480 ft. x 50 ft. for additional fabrication and finish work that includes blasting, installing primers, and insulation.

Plenty of office space and conference rooms add to the first-class environment conducive to project supervision.

Utilizing the facilities of Bay's four fabrication and assembly buildings, Bay has had over 2,000 daily man-hours of work underway simultaneously, all of which would be under roof in a protected environment.  These facilities are additional to the vast outside Assembly/Construction areas available to the Berry Companies.
