Grassroots 68,000 bbl/day
Gasoline Desulfurization Unit
Bay Ltd. served as General Contractor
for the Grassroots Gasoline Desulfurization Unit Construction for a major
Gulf Coast Refinery. Project employment peaked at over 850 people with
project duration of 12 months and over 650,000 direct man-hours worked.
Bay's scope of work included civil, underground, structural steel, equipment
setting, mechanical, testing and start up. In addition Bay performed
the hauling and erection of the GDU, the critical lifts including the primary reactors as well as constructing three new 60,000 bbl tanks.
